Managed Kubernetes Service

The Managed Kubernetes Service is seamlessly integrated into EveryWare's Open Cloud. This means that the Managed Kubernetes Service is billed per cluster, to which only the Open Cloud resources actually used for the respective workload, such as worker nodes (compute), persistent volumes (storage), load balancers, routers, etc.

Billing is calculated to the nearest minute on an hourly basis. This allows for flexible billing with various pricing models, such as on-demand and pre-committed models, which can be selected or combined as needed. Normal network usage is free of charge under the Ingress Traffic Fair Use Policy.

Example: Managed Kubernetes Service Usage

Using the Kubernetes service involves not only the service itself, but also various resources. This example shows a RabbitMQ deployment as a stateful set with 50 GB of persistent volume, which is accessible from the internet.

  • Managed Kubernetes Service Prod
  • 3x worker nodes with flavor type e1.xlarge
  • 3x 50GB block storage volumes of type v-ssd-medium for the persistent volumes of the stateful set
  • 1x router
  • 1x load balancer for distributing ingress traffic to the worker nodes
  • 1x floating IP

The usage of these resources does provide the monthly amount.
